Overview

Le Tarot Visconti fut l'un des premiers tarots en circulation et le seul à être parvenu presqu'entièrement intact jusqu'à nos jours. Les cartes originales sont désormais réparties entre la Pierpont Morgan Library de New York, l'Accademia Carrara de Bergame (Italie) et la collection privée de la famille Colleoni. Ces cartes ont été créées au milieu du XVe siècle à Milan, probablement à l'occasion du mariage entre Francesco Sforza - le nouveau seigneur de Milan - et Bianca Maria Visconti, fille du précédent duc.
La superbe restauration des cartes de ce coffret a été réalisée par le peintre bulgare Atanas A. Atanassov.
